A body-to-workshop compiler. Seven measurements place one body inside the national survey. The machine drafts the panel around it, judges every mark against the laws of three craft processes, repairs what it refuses, shows the garment a year early, and packs a job folder a workshop can run without a phone call.

The Constraint
Three craft processes, each with physics and an address. Screen, Ludhiana: a 43T mesh holds no stroke under 1.2mm, a 77T holds 0.6, a 110T holds 0.35. Two strokes closer than 0.5mm bridge with wet ink. Dark cloth demands a white underbase before the colour count begins. Zari, Lucknow: gold thread cannot follow a radius under 2mm, perforations closer than 0.8mm tear the khaka sheet, and coverage past 14% puckers 250gsm terry on the frame. Block, Sanganer: nothing under 2.5mm can be chiselled into sheesham, and an enclosed island under 4mm breaks off the block.
The machine accepts a constraint on itself too. Every verdict is measured from real path geometry in millimetres, and every one of the eighteen laws carries its confidence printed beside the verdict: VERIFIED, ESTIMATED, or PLACEHOLDER. The source states why, and the sentence is quoted because it is the product: fabricated authority destroys this product.
Ease is doctrine, never preference. The same body drafts at +4cm for a structural silhouette, +8cm for the system baseline, +16cm for deliberate excess. The three tiers carry the names of the three house doors: SHAMAN, OPERATOR, VANDAL.

Refusal is the interface. Eighteen laws measured against real geometry, each with a severity and a confidence. A warning asks to be ignored. A refusal changes the design.

NO is the brand; NO with a repair is the product. Every refusal ships a one-tap, undoable hammer that reports exactly what changed: strokes dilated to the mesh minimum, the design scaled onto the platen, two inks merged with the colour distance named.

The time axis is the luxury argument. A slider runs 0 to 50 washes. Plastisol cracks where the body strains the cloth, discharge fades, zari tarnishes and snags. The customer sees the garment a year old before paying for it new.

The bundle kills the phone call. One button packs a film per screen as true vectors with registration marks, the khaka hole-sheet, the block carving sheet, a spec sheet, and a manifest that restores the exact design state. Films round-trip through both export formats within a thousandth of a millimetre in testing.
The Instrument
The Decision That Cost Something
Canvas is downstream of paths, never the source of truth. That sentence sits at the head of the renderer, and it governs the whole build. Every mark is a parametric construction in millimetres: a family, a set of parameters, a seed. A complete design compresses to a short string, and the string reproduces the paths byte-identically on any machine.
What I chose against: the raster editor. The familiar paint canvas where you import a sketch, push pixels, and export a picture that dies at the workshop door because no screen, needle, or chisel can read it. What it cost: the easy demo, the broader first hour, every user who wanted to upload a photograph and trace it.
The payment arrived on export. Films leave the machine as true vectors at one-to-one millimetre scale, registration crosshairs included, and the verification suite proves the geometry survives the round trip: 0.0005mm of error through one format, 0.0006mm through the other. A workshop receives measurements, and measurements do not argue.
Solo. Gurugram. A Dell laptop. The uploaded source tree dates its work to 08 Sep 2026. Eighteen craft laws, eight glyph families, three workshops, four substrates, one operator.

Never on the table: the refusal. A build that warns instead of refusing is a different, worse product.
The Approach
The body engine places seven measurements against percentile bands derived from the national sizing survey and drafts a panel: cut line, seam line, platen, with an ease allowance set by the chosen silhouette. The band values ship inside the product. The drafting geometry does not ship anywhere.
The validator measures real path geometry in millimetres: stroke widths, gaps between strokes, curvature radii, ink coverage across the platen, on-body strain across the print footprint. Analytic area computation is checked against rasterised ground truth. The measurement methods and their sampling orders are not published.
The wash simulation grows crack networks as polylines weighted by local strain, so the print fails where the body bends the cloth. The seed and the weights are not published. Repairs are closed-form transforms with safety margins; the margin constants are not published.

THE SUITE RUNS WITHOUT A BROWSER: TWENTY GEOMETRY CHECKS — MIN-STROKE REFUSAL AT EVERY MESH, UNDERBASE COUNTING ON DARK CLOTH, PLATEN OVERRUN, EVERY REPAIR CLEARING ITS VIOLATION, VECTOR ROUND-TRIPS. RUN BY THIS PORTAL, TODAY, AGAINST THE UPLOADED SOURCE.
The price tags are declared fiction. The vendor file opens with its own confession: rate curves are illustrative placeholders until real vendor quotes replace them. The 240-per-shirt figure is the shape of a price, with a currency and a lead time attached, and it is still a placeholder. Five of the eighteen laws stand at PLACEHOLDER confidence, labelled as such in every verdict they produce. The survey bands behind the fit engine are marked indicative, for prototype use.
the confession is the first line of the vendor file. The machine refuses honestly. It does not yet refuse with a workshop's signature.
